It did get of to a rocky start, for reasons we all know by know. But even from the beginning there was so much to love about this show! The cast have been AMAZING, Rosamund Pike has never had a bad day at work, and so many of the veterans have truly embodied their characters to the point of them being the faces I see now when I read the books.

And the Emonds field gang have all really come in to their own, espeicially in this the latest season. Josha and Zoey in particular! And a special mention of Josha, because I think it’s easy to forget how hard it is to play a character who carries all the narrative weight, will still making that character feel real and interesting, and not only as plot development to two legs. And I think Josha really really nailed that, in season 3 in particular he got to really shine.

One of the many things I love about the show was the set and production design (and costume!). It was a joy to see some of the many places that have been in my imagination for years. The Waste! Ruidehan! Tanchico! Tar Valon! All so beautifully rendered on screen. But there is so much more to see and do in the WOT-world!

The series is it’s own thing compared to the books, and an unexpected pleasure of the show was to see how they folded and combined and streamlined story beats and plotlines, but wheel of time doesn’t even come into it’s own fully until the fourth book!

How can you end it now, when everything has fully kicked into gear, and all the characters are established and lived in? We barely got to the beginning of Rands arc!?

And I don’t want to be a hater, but NOBODY, not one single person, on this entire planet loves the Rings of Power. So if you are sinking milions, of which I know Jeff has a few, into a fantasy epic, do it on a property that is actually a real completeted story, that also has a massive devoted fanbase.

I know the cancellation is probably the result of some tax write of or something the mighty algorithm told you, but this series, these actors, this creative team, this magical world deserves so much more. Please, all I want for christmas is another season.
