I Can’t Properly Express My Gratitude to Everyone
Growing up, the Wheel of Time was a huge, and much needed, escape for me. It had a profound impact on my life and has led me to find friends, pursue careers, and grow closer with people around me. I’ve read the books many times and was cautiously excited when I heard it was being adapted into a show. I immediately fell in love with what you all had done to bring this story to the screen. Adaptations are difficult in the best of cases, but adapting a 14 book epic? That seemed downright impossible. Through the changes necessitated by adapting such an epic series, the soul and characters were left there at the core of it all, and I will always be grateful to Rafe and the rest of the writing team for that.
Films and Shows are such collaborative efforts and I’m so grateful to everyone involved, from the location scouts, to costuming, to makeup, lighting, sets, and of course the actors. Seeing Moraine, Lan, and the Edmond’s Fielders brought to life through their performances lit a joy in me I didn’t know I needed. For the first time in my life I got to share my passion and love of Wheel of Time with my co-workers and friends who had never read the books. And for that experience alone I am so grateful for what you have accomplished. I’m hoping for a renewal so everyone can get to see the amazing places these incredible characters go and the absolutely EPIC finale to everything. But, if Shai’tan wins the day, and a renewal doesn’t happen, I’ll be forever grateful for what was given to us by the hard work of the cast and crew to bring this series to life.
