Dear WOT cast, crew and writers:

I’ve been a devoted reader of WOT since the fourth book was published, and over the past 25+ years, the series has been a constant source of joy and comfort for me. Before each new release, I would revisit the previous books—there’s something grounding and magical about returning to that world!

It was a long-held dream of mine to see these novels adapted for the screen, and I was thrilled when that dream finally came true. The show exceeded my hopes. I know Season 1 faced real challenges with COVID, but the writing, casting, and overall production were incredible. Season 2 was a joy—I loved seeing characters like Liandrin and Lanfear come alive in new ways. The Seanchan were trrrifying! And Season 3 was a frickin’ masterpiece. I found myself rewatching each episode before the new one dropped, just to savor it all over again. I think it’s one of the finest things I’ve ever seen on TV.

Josha IS Rand. I am so impressed with his performance. Dónal nailed Mat, one of my favorite characters. When Mat fought Galad and Gawyn, I got goosebumps. When Mat met the Finn, it was like an out of body experience— I was so excited. When Perrin was singing the song about Manetheren, I had it stuck in my head for days. And Hopper!! I love the actresses portrayals of Egwene, Nynaeve and Elayne. The strength of their storylines and their performances were stellar. Rosamund is a perfect Moiraine and Daniel embodies Lan— I can’t picture either character anyother way. All of the scenes with the Forsaken were beyond belief. They were so amazing. And Rhuidean took my breath away.

All of the other countless actors helped complete this beautiful story. The costumes were incredible and the sets and locations were gorgeous and so real!

I’m heartbroken that Amazon isn’t moving forward. These stories deserve to be told. And while a vocal minority might always find fault, there is a large, loyal fanbase who deeply appreciates everything this team created. I can’t believe that the other major fantasy series on Amazon was chosen to continue over this, and I am a huge fan of JRR Tolkien. It doesn’t compare to WOT.

From the bottom of my heart—thank you. Thank you for bringing this world to life with such care and passion. I’ll always hope for a miracle, but even if it doesn’t come, I’ll return to the books with renewed love and gratitude, forever hearing these characters in the voices you gave them.
