Dear Rosamund Pike, Daniel Henney, Josha Stradowski, Dónal Finn, Marcus Rutherford, Madeleine Madden, Zoë Robins and everyone else contributing to The Wheel of Time show,

Thank you all so much for all of the incredible skill and talents you brought to my screen! I cannot express just how much this has meant to me! I have read The Wheel of Time since I was a young boy and fell in love with it the moment I started reading it. The books were nearly complete at the time, but I remember the excitement and anticipation I’d be when the last two were coming out and couldn’t wait to get my hands on them! Every single book filled my growing mind with imagination and wonder, and knew I had to read them over and over again! It made me wish for a real life adaptation, and I would often dream of seeing that wish coming true and watching it from my tv.

Once I heard that The Wheel of Time was in the process of becoming a show, I was elated! While I wished and dreamed for it, I didn’t think it would be possible because of the complexity and intricate details and storytelling in the books-yet there I was hearing it was about to become a reality!

In early 2021, I started making social media accounts to follow the show’s progress more closely and to become acquainted and learn about you, and I couldn’t believe just how close everything was coming to completion! I cried when I saw the first teaser trailer that was released just a few months prior to Season One’s release. It was like reading the books for the first time again, and it was full of nostalgia! I didn’t know just how nostalgic the show would be, watching it as it was coming out.

As I’ve watched the show, I would marvel at the spectacular acting from all of you and instantly fell in love! All of you put in your best effort for the show! Everything, and more! It was spectacular!
I have loved how everyone has portrayed their characters, from Rosamund’s portrayal of the calm and controlled, yet commanding presence of Moiraine, to Dónal’s skittish and jesting, yet loyal Mat. Everyone went above and beyond! Madeleine’s acting when Egwene was in the damane kennels out of the water! I get goosebumps every single time I watch her traumatic scene of her pouring the water into the cup. It is so good! I wish I could talk about everyone’s characters and their acting, but there would be no end, because that’s how well all of you did! I also loved how much depth was put into your characters-everyone felt more fleshed out and vibrant in their own, rightful way. I didn’t know I needed that until I saw it!

When I saw the announcement that The Wheel of Time was being cancelled, my heart broke. It felt like it had been ripped out of my chest-I cannot even begin to imagine how you all felt and still feel. It is completely devastating that the show I love is being cancelled and that the turning of the Wheel has been broken for foolish and infuriating reasons.

This show has quite literally been a safe haven from the world for me; it’s been something I could immerse myself in when I’m feeling overwhelmed from the horrid news and politics of the world, and it’s allowed me to find the positivity I need to face everything coming my way on my feet. To see that safety ripped out from under me and my home taken away is terrifying and turns my world upside down. I don’t think I’ll completely recover.
I pray the shocking and distressing decision of cancelling the show isn’t permanent and that the Wheel will turn once more, be that through Amazon revising its choices, or another streaming service takes up the honor of letting The Wheel of Time finish its planned eight seasons. I need The Wheel of Time to continue until the end and the Last Battle has been won.

My heart and soul belongs to all of you, my thoughts go out to all of you and I am always thinking of you. I hope you are all doing well, and that you’ll be well. I’ve got your back, and we can face anything together on our feet.
