Dear Sirs

I’m not writing this letter because I like “The Wheel of Time” show. I’m not doing it because it’s a good series. Finally, I don’t do it, because I’m happy seing the adaptation of the books. I’m writing this letter, because I consider this show as a masterpiece that cannot be wasted.

I’m a seventeen-year-old boy from Poland and I had discovered the show just before the second season came out. As soon as I had watched first two seasons, I bought the book and I’m sure I wouldn’t have read it unless the show had been outstanding. I was able to read “The Eye of the World”, “The Great Hunt” and “The Dragon Reborn” before the third season was published. While watching it, I’ve been reading “The Shadow Rising” and finished it just after the season’s final, and I’m not slowing down with “The Fires od Heaven”.

Why I decided to go through these 5000 pages? Because I saw Moiraine confronting Ishamael. Because I saw Alanna fighting the Logain’s army. Because I saw Egwene in Falme. Why did I continue reading? Because I wanted to read about the fight on the tower in Falme. Was I worried when I discovered that this scene doesn’t exist? I was, but I was thrilled that I could have seen it on screen. I speeded up with reading to finish next books before season 3 comes out. I failed, but seing Siuan Sanche’s speech and Moiraine fighting Lanfear gave me a huge boost. And once again, I was worried that those scenes don’t happen in books, but I was thrilled that I could have seen them on screen.

I adore every seson’s finale. I adore the fact that characters like Moiraine or Nynaeve are better developed than in books. I adore all One Power scenes. I adore the way antagonists are shown. I adore Siuan, Alanna and Egwene. I adore Moiraine Sedai.

Finally I must say something that I have never said, talking about any production. “The Wheel of Time” series are much better than “The Wheel of Time” books, and I mean it. Robert Jordan created a breathtaking story, but the show gave colours to it. And I’m sure, that when I continue reading the books I will miss those colours.

Once again I beg you not to waste the potential that the series have. I don’t want to miss the colours.
