To the Cast, Crew and Production Team of The Wheel of Time:

Thank you for all the hard work you have poured into the show for the past three seasons in spite of all the challenges with COVID and strikes. Your dedication has produced some of the best fantasy television I have seen. Each season was better than the one before in all aspects of writing, acting, cinematography, costumes, hair, VFX, and the world building.

I started reading The Wheel of Time books in the 1990’s and have read them many times throughout the years. I loved how the show hit the major plot points and character development in spite of the difficulties of adapting such a large book series into the limited time of a show. The writing showed a lot of care in building the world and laying the groundwork for adapting the later books as the show seasons progressed. And yet, due to the changes that adapting such a large series demands, it was fun for me to guess at how the show was going to evolve and move through the series while maintaining the core story.

I can’t speak enough of how the production quality has developed over the three seasons. Season 3 was just epic in its cinematic look and the quality of the special effects. The costumes have always been a standout. I love the colorful look of this show since it’s such a contrast to the muted colors of much of fantasy television.

I also want to thank the actors who have taken such care in bringing the characters to life. The cast engagement with the fan community has shown how much the actors care about the source material in bringing these characters to the screen. The depth they bring to these beloved people from the books is so appreciated.

I hope Sony will find another streaming platform to make the rest of the series if Amazon Prime won’t reverse its decision. It is truly a shame to lose such groundbreaking television just as it was really coming into its own.
