We’re living in very difficult times and often I think the world is going crazy. Luckily a fantasy series appeared three years ago. The wheel of time immediately swept me off my feet. The story, the characters, the epic setting and production design. This was a high fantasy series like no other. Each season got better and better and especially right after season 3 my husband and I were flabbergasted, craving for more. Then, a few weeks later a bomb dropped: The wheel of time is getting canceled…. it felt as if the earth stopped turning…

How is this possible? How is it possible that the best fantasy series ever made is being canceled? We, stupid as we are probably, thought that quality is what counts. Isn’t TV also an art form? Like film? The wheel of time is a masterpiece in that regard. But no.. quality isn’t important, money is…

How can we not be devastated by this news? I can’t imagine we won’t see how the story continues. Why start an expensive, quality, high fantasy series and then stop right in the middle… it just feels awful.

As a gay couple in our early fifties we want to thank the actors, the writers and the rest of the extremely talented crew for bringing us this gem. No stereotype gay characters but gay people as they are in real life and we really are exactly the same as straight people. The actors did such a great job.

With all my heart I hope another streaming platform will pick up the series even if it is for only one last season or a long TV movie. We, the fans, but also the entire crew, deserve a good ending, a good closure.

So much has been said about the stunning visuals, the acting performances, the production design but The wheel of time also shows how diversity can work in a television series without feeling pushed. God we love this show. Channeling love and kisses to everyone involved!
