Dear Josha,
I am so grateful that Rand al’Thor was played by someone who has such a deep appreciation for the source material in addition to phenomenal acting chops. Every interview of yours I watched made me feel more deeply that we couldn’t have possibly gotten a better Dragon Reborn. I mourn that we won’t get to see you take the Stone, save Mat and Aviendha from Rahvin, break the box, don the Crown of Swords, cleanse Saidin, or defeat the Dark One. I know your performance would have made those moments truly special on screen. However, I’m grateful for the moments we did get. The scene with Alsera is so harrowing—your performance is hauntingly real. Thank you for your passion and dedication over the years.
