You Saved Me
There was a time in my life not long ago when I truly believed I wouldn’t make it to see another day. The darkness I was living in was consuming. I was exhausted mentally, emotionally, spiritually. Each breath felt like a burden, and I had quietly resigned myself to the idea that maybe, just maybe, it would be better to let go. I was tired of fighting. I was ready to die.
Then something unexpected happened. I came across the news: The Wheel of Time season three was officially happening.
It sounds so small maybe even silly to someone on the outside. A television show. But to me, in that moment, it was everything. It was the first flicker of excitement I had felt in what seemed like forever. My heart stirred in a way I didn’t expect, like it remembered something I had forgotten hope.
I told myself I just had to hold on until the premiere. One more day. Then another. And then another.
When it finally came out, I was hooked, waiting week by week, breathlessly watching the story unfold. I found myself crying not from pain, but from the beauty of the characters, the strength of their journeys, the reminder that even in the most impossible situations, people endure. That light, no matter how faint, can always be found in the shadow.
The Wheel of Time gave me something to look forward to when I had nothing. It became my tether to the world. It reminded me of the power of story, the magic of resilience, and the quiet, stubborn strength of simply surviving.
To the cast, the crew, the writers, the creators thank you. I don’t know if you’ll ever fully understand what your work has meant to me, but please know this: your show didn’t just entertain me.
It saved my life.
And even now after the news that the show has been canceled I won’t give up. Just as your story gave me the strength to keep going, I will fight for The Wheel of Time to be given what it deserves: the chance to finish what it started. To see this incredible world and these beloved characters brought to their rightful end.
I will stand with this story until the very end, because it once stood for me when I couldn’t stand on my own.
With all the gratitude in my heart,
Malia
