Hello WoT Cast and Crew,

I can’t begin to articulate how much this show means to me.
I started to read the series when I was an awkward expatriate grade 8 middle schooler. The stories took me out of my feelings of loneliness and isolation. In some ways, I felt like one of the Emond’s Field children, uprooted from home in order to fulfill a purpose that I didn’t even fully understand. My sister would constantly talk about the characters and make predictions about what we thought would happen next.

In my university years, the stories helped me process through my some of my own traumatic experiences. I learned that you have to love the world and yourself if you stand any chance of saving it.

I know that, as with many fanbases, the WoT fanbase has reacted in a variety of ways. Perhaps because it is such a commitment to read the entire series, the fanbase can be a bit elite about the source-material. I know that you folks have gotten some criticism for changes that deviate from the books.

But, I want to let you all know that I see what you have done, and it is beautiful. Your love for the source material and Robert Jordan’s vision is so clear to me. (Haha! I see you, Brigitte doll that was dropped at the farmhouse… I love how hard you guys go with the Age of Legend stuff… And I love that you have already brought in the weird with the Aielfinn and Eelfinn… And my word, Lanfear and Ishamael are so brilliantly portrayed and performed).

I must also say that I really appreciate the adjustments that you have made to the story. You have made the story a much stronger ensemble piece. I loved seeing the meaningful coming-of-age-rituals of the Women’s Circle (not just from Rand’s dismissive pov in the books), brave Tinkers locking arms to protect children from the Whitecloaks, Moiraine and Siuan’s secret intimacy, etc. You have made it into a story for everyone. (Holy cow, “There are many ways to be a Woman” line hits so hard, that was a wonderful episode.)

I like to believe that if Robert Jordan was alive today, he would love the work you have done, too. It is a bit different than the vision he or Brandon Sanderson had, for sure, but it is wonderful. And, I am so sad to hear that it is cancelled. I so wanted to see this vision completed. But, even if this petition doesn’t move the needle, I want you all to know that your work has touched my heart and the hearts of so many others. It has lifted so many people out of these dark times and given us hope. Please tell this to the team. You folks are all amazing, and I loved how you brought these stories to life.
