This Leaf Has Not Finished Its Journey

I discovered “The Wheel of Time” only recently, but hopefully not too late. I truly hope that even my voice, added to others, can help save this series.

What moved me most was how women were portrayed: not as sidekicks, symbols, or objects of desire, but as strong, complex individuals with their own goals and power. They didn’t need to be rescued, they rescued themselves. That meant a lot to me.

The diversity in the cast and characters also made a deep impact. It wasn’t just for show: it reflected a world where people of all backgrounds simply existed and lived their lives without being reduced to stereotypes. That kind of representation is still rare, especially in fantasy.

And then there’s the “Way of the Leaf”: The peaceful way to live that chooses nonviolence, even when it comes at great cost. In today’s world, where violence and division seem to grow stronger, seeing that message (alongside the presence of those who choose to protect without hatred) touched me deeply.

This series gave me hope and comfort at a time when many feel unseen, unheard, and overwhelmed by fear and extremism. The cast, the worldbuilding, the emotions – everything felt rich and meaningful. I’ve already started reading the books, but it’s the series that helped me see this world.

Please continue “The Wheel of Time”. I need stories like this. This show deserves to live on.
