Dear Natasha O’Keeffe,
I will never have the words to accurately encapsulate my love for your performance in The Wheel of Time, because frankly, I feel nothing can sum up how phenomenal you are. But of course I’m going to try.

You have taken a character so complex and volatile and have made her so incredibly powerful on the screen. You’ve dipped into all aspects of her and pulled out every last bit of reality in her as a person, which is utterly incredible. You have taken someone who’s classified as the ‘crazy ex-girlfriend’ type on the page and taken her to new heights of humanity and excellence on the screen. I’ve been cheering for Lanfear the whole way through, which is crazy!! You’re so good that you’ve got me rooting for the dark one!!

I believe The Dusty Wheel told you in an interview that you’ve managed to turn the audience into fans of Lanfear, and I just want to echo the scale upon which you’ve done that. I’ve made so many friends and connections because of our shared love for Lanfear, and these are the people who have helped me through a lot. The past 2 years have been so tough, but this community of ‘Stanfears’, as we like to say, has really become something special in our lives, and that’s really all thanks to you.

The impact of your presence in The Wheel of Time goes beyond what you do on screen, and we all genuinely appreciate how beautifully you’ve put this character together. Let’s hope this won’t be the end for your version of Lanfear, but if it is, I want to say a huge thank you for being a shining light (even through those incredibly dark makeup looks and gorgeous costumes) in my life and the lives of others.
