I have loved the Wheel of Time since I first disappeared into the world within its pages in grade school. I was swept up in the magic, the story, the battle to save the world. When Robert Jordan would publish a new book, nothing else in the real world would matter until I had finished the story. And in between publishing, I would re-read them from the beginning. Finding something new to adore or explore each time. But I didn’t know a single other person who had read the books.

The show changed that for me. Suddenly, I was able to convince people who previously thought the 14-book series was too much of a commitment to give it a try. Others who still didn’t want to read it were watching the show, and that was enough for me.

I cannot explain the joy and excitement I’ve experienced watching my friends, family, and coworkers meeting these characters who I have loved and lived so much of my life with, what it means to get to have conversations with them about the world and the magic and the lore; what is means that my husband and I are listening to the audiobooks together.

Maybe most importantly, what I am eternally grateful for is the opportunity to FEEL the magic of the Wheel of Time again and in a new way. People may disagree about the show’s decisions, but to me, regardless of where the story went, it was undoubtedly the world of the Wheel of Time. The cast embodied the characters. They brought them to life in a way I never expected to see. I just wish we got to see more.

I am desperate to see the rest of this turning of the Wheel. Not another remake with another company. This turning. This showrunner, these actors, this production team. I am invested, and they have earned our trust and our gratitude and our loyalty.

Regardless of what happens next, I have the books, I have these three seasons, and I have more people in my life who now appreciate a little magic. Thank you.
