I will start off first with saying that I never read beyond the first few chapters of Eye of the World. I was intimidated by the sheer number of books in the WOT series. I have always loved epic, high fantasy, and I’ve read a few classic series, but I’m just such a slow reader that I couldn’t manage WOT. My brother read all of them, however, and hearing him talk about the series made me curious. When I heard there was going to be a show, I was excited! Finally, a chance to experience this world I’d heard so much about but not been able to immerse myself in.

To Rafe, Rosamund, and all the cast and crew: you made this show with so much heart and love. Josha grew into his leadership role as Rand grew into his own. The absolute QUEENS of this show are its life’s blood, and I have never seen a fantasy show that put women to the fore of the narrative in all their complexities, unflinching and unapologetic of their roles in palace intrigue, presenting both their strengths and their failures.

I hope that the story will continue in a new home, but if it doesn’t, you all have so much to be proud of. Infinite thank yous for showing your audience that high fantasy *can* be done in a television format. I loved every moment spent with this diverse cast in these sprawling locales. You made me believe in magic again.
